Let's Talk Six

For six years I've been married.

For six years I've been a wife.

For six years I've had a husband.

For six years I've lived with a boy.

For six years I've made dinner, burnt dinner, spilled dinner, cried over dinner... and ended up buying dinner.

For six years I've been irritated by the way he brushes his teeth and eats chips... and I've come to grips with the fact that it's not gonna change.

For six years I've been learning what it means to be patient, respectful, and unconditionally loving.

For six years I've prayed for our marriage.

For six years I've faithfully trusted that the Lord would see us through.

For six years I've dreamed of the future that I am now living.

For six years I've worn a ring that symbolizes everything.

For six years I've committed to the following vows, and will live by them until death do us part:

I, Mindi, take you Jeff, to be my wedded husband. To have and to hold, to love and to cherish, from this day forward; and through all the changing experiences of life. It is my purpose to give you happiness, and to join with you, in making our home the fulfillment of the desires of our hearts. No matter where the Lord may lead us, I promise you my deepest love and tender care. To you, I pledge my faith and my life, that together, we may be one.
