cake batter cookies

I had the opportunity to guest-post last week over on Blabbering Thoughts- Tiffany is a great gal with a cute family! I shared this recipe with her readers and decided I would post it on here, too, in case it might reach out to one of you in desperate need of chocolate and butter :)

What's a girl to do when she is in desperate need of a cookie but hasn't been to the store in two+ weeks (read: empty pantry and the fridge is housing one lonely egg)? I find an old recipe for Cake Batter Cookies, and take it as a sign to whip up a batch.

First, enlist the help of an all-too-willing youngin'. Aprons are necessary... if not to keep the cookies off the clothes, then to keep the nekked off the cookies.

I love how Syd posted a recipe this way, and decided to keep my recipe just as simple!

1. Melt the stick of butter

2. Mix everything together

3. Clump together into balls on cookie sheet

4. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes (can test with toothpick in middle since they're cake!)

5. Ship the kids off to bed with promises of warm cookies upon waking

6. Throw on a pair of your husband's socks, kick up your feet, and devour a plate of them with a side of goat milk and a good book.
