Some days I crawl into bed feeling like my boys hate me. It doesn't help when a certain little man is figuring out how to express his feelings and tells me he doesn't like me. Training up children is hard work, and a lot of the time I wonder if I am doing it right, or just completely messing them up.
But then days like yesterday happen, where I was presented with a handful of daisies from Boone, and a fistful of weeds from Finn. And I felt loved... so very cherished in their little hearts.
According to Boone, there are 4 different-sized daisies representing each of my boys: Daddy, Boone, Finn, and Tripp. I put each one in a separate little glass vase, and added a sprig of Finn's weed to each one, as well.
Sometimes all it takes is a little reminder like this to assure me that I am, in fact, doing alright at the mom-thing.
Even when I roll up their hands in the car window or feed them moldy jam,
They do love me.

Yes, Sheila, I took these pics! The beautiful mirror is part a gorgeous hutch my mother in law just made me for my birthday a few months back.
